Dear Johnnie:
Thank you for your note – and hearty, if belated,
felicitations on your birthday anniversary.
Because of your interest, I shall of course give
every consideration to the invitation that I under¬
stand will be sent me to deliver the Alpha Sigma
Nu lecture to be held during Lent. I don’t want,
however, to hold out undue hope that I can be with
you, since my calendar for the first few months
of the new year seems, even at this writing, ex¬
cessively heavy.
