St. Malachy's Church JESUIT FATHERS 2904 CLARK AVENUE ST. LOUIS 3, MO. June 26, 1944 My dear Sir: - Just received your small letter with the pictures, clippings, etc. + surely found them all interesting. Will pass them on to Marie & Itter as they have been so interested in the whole situation & have done some hard praying that things turn out O.K. The enclosed will be of interest. Got back to St. Louis last Sat. after a pleasant change. Drove both ways so had the can there to make a few side trips. Met hundreds of Jesuits at West Baden from all ones the U.S. - some of whom I had not seen for as being as 20 years. have seen none of the writings you mentioned about Montecasino. Histony will bring out the facts about that + a lot of other forty things the British have pulled off. Hope your job is going along O.K. & That it is not too hard on you. I often think of the old house on Selley & of how things have changed there. That Leonard Funy, S.J., is a good written & I have read quite a few of the Selections in the "Omnibus". A few weeks ago I reviewed the troops at Jeff- Vison Bannack with the Commanding Officer Col. "Swede" Anderson, an old friend of mine. With love John
