It is a well known fact that psychologists do not agree among themselves concerning the importance of topics included in their respective fields. It is the purpose of this thesis, therefore, to ascertain as far as possible the extent to which five authors of representative recent texts in the field of child psychology agree. This agreement as to importance of items will be determined both relatively, in the statement of the per cent of space alloted to each topic, and absolutely, in the comparison of the actual number of standard pages devoted to each topic by each author. In this way both the extent and the nature of agreement may be determined.en_US
