Abstract

First Paragraph Perhaps the title of this article sounds odd to the reader on account of its similarity to an old conundrum. No pleasantry of the sort is, however, intended, my object is simply to show to some extent why our moon exists, why it has its present size and distance and other characteristics. And for this purpose I Could not find an apter title to express my meaning. My literary censors approved, they thought the title catchy—and without more ado let us begin our study.
