Abstract

"The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, 'Lo, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you."|As soon as we ask, "What will the kingdom of God be like?" we tend to miss the reality of Jesus' Spirit alive for us in the present.|The kingdom is not a place, but the future of God beside us and within us presently. The kingdom is our relationship with Jesus' Spirit in the heart of the Church. The operative question we need to live out of is: "Where am I experiencing Jesus' Spirit embracing me with love today?" To know the answer to that is to begin to enter into and to enjoy the reign of God. The challenge then becomes one of on-going surrender to Christ's heartfelt presence, a love that transforms us and our world, fostering a future full of hope.
