Lying, cheating and stealing at government expense: Striking a balance between the public interest and the interests of the public in the Witness Protection Program

Abstract

This article examines the initial recommendations for change of the witness protection program and the 1984 Reform Act to determine positive and/or negative effects. The article then suggests alternative approaches to the witness protection program in light of the critical legal and moral considerations surrounding its implementation.
