INTRODUCTION|Everybody does it. A housewife photocopies a new recipe from a magazine. A concerned father photocopies a newspaper article discussing drunk driving for his teenage son to read. A businesswoman photocopies an article for her secretary to read. How many of us have photocopied a copyrighted work that was relevant to our life in some way? The situation seems innocent enough, but when a "for-profit" corporation which employs over 400 research scientists nationwide, encouraged its employees to photocopy scientific journal articles, this seemingly harmless act took on serious legal ramifications...
