FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|In Hollister v. Government Employees Insurance Co., the issue was whether a serviceman could recover from an insurance company for medical treatment rendered to his wife, notwithstanding the fact that the government paid the bulk of the charges.|Hollister was on active duty with the Army. His wife was injured in an automobile accident and was hospitalized for treatment in a civilian hospital. Pursuant to the provisions under the Civilian Health and Medical Program for the Uniformed Services, Hollister paid a nominal sum for the medical services and the government paid the rest. Hollister then sued Government Employees Insurance Company [G.E.I.C.O.] for recovery under an automobile accident policy that the agency had issued in Hollister's name.
