Abstract
Here is another beautifully produced book from Agur. 29 fables on 77 pages. The lively full-page colored illustrations make clear that we are dealing with many traditional Aesopic fables here. The fox sees the footprints going into the lion's cave (10). The ass in a lion's skin chases a human (25). The miser visits his buried treasure while someone watches from behind a tree (28). The hares see a frog and decide not to commit suicide (42). A lion freed from ropes congratulates a mouse (51). A fox flatters a crow with meat in his beak (55). And death confronts a woodman (76). Well done!
