The brittle paper shows that this is a 75-year-old book, but, my, the colored illustrations are wonderfully sharp. Vimar has long been a favorite of mine, and he continues to earn that high standing here. Plentiful black-and-white illustrations and perhaps six or eight colored. Their quality is exceptional, despite the fragile condition of the book itself. Here was a lucky find within the lucky find of a second set of Buchinists on the other bank of the Seine.
