Szaz Fabula (A Hundred Fables)

Abstract

We have three copies of Heltai's work. The three previously found are illustrated. This simpler paperback has no illustrations. The hundred fables are followed by "Sayings bout animals" on 145-49 and a T of C on 151-54. I remain fascinated with the question of what life would have been like in Budapest in 1943. Gaspar Heltai was apparently a polymath: preacher, bible translator, and writer on many subjects.
