I have had two copies of this catalogue, describing 92 books offered by Messieurs Chamonal and Corcelle on some 60 pages. The other copy, wherever it is, is marked up with comments and cross-outs and notations of books already in our collection. As I catch up with cataloguing books in the collection, I think it good to include this catalogue as I naturally include more formal book-catalogues. The surprise for me was that, as I reviewed the book, I recognized immediately Thierry Corcelle's name because I bought several things from him one summer ago in his slightly out-of-the-way shop. I visited the shop twice, since I went back to say yes to his offer of both a complete set of "lotto" cards and a complete set of magic lantern slides. The next time I am in Paris, I will ask him if he has printed up any other fable catalogues and whether any of these items are still around!
