Evgeny tells me that the 91 colored illustrations here are reproductions of hand-painted engravings from the 1834 edition. They are well done. For me, they illustrate well some of the lesser-known Krylov fables. 103 fables. 408 pages. Blue cloth cover with gold embossing. The illustrations may be placed near their fables, not necessarily directly with them. Perhaps a good exemplar of the fine artwork here might be "The Gardener and the Bear" on 157. I have seen this illustration elsewhere!
