Ezop Masallari

Abstract

Here is one of some 38 inexpensive Turkish editions of Aesop bought together. This book is simple: from 5 to 78, there is a steady stream of some 57 fables, as the T of C on 79-80 confirms. I count nine simple monochrome cartoon illustrations in the work. The cover has an image of various animals gathered in the jungle, apparently around the monkey hanging on a vine. The back cover pictures 50 books in the collection, of which this number is 40. A young hand has done considerable crayoning in this book.
