Yisuo Yuyan (Aesop's Fables, Chinese)

Abstract

Here is a children’s book of some 63 fables on 150 pages. These are traditional Aesop’s fables, with a colored illustration for almost every fable. The characters are invariably “cute,” and this presentation does not help some fables. The lively cover shows a lion staring down at a fox. I am unsure what fable this illustration refers to. Perhaps “Lion and Sagittarius” (46)? 6¼” x 8½”.
