Abstract
INTRODUCTION|I am extremely pleased to have been invited by Creighton Law Review to write an introduction to this year's volume on the sum- mary of Nebraska law. When this project was first undertaken in 1974 and appeared in Volume 8 of the Creighton Law Review, the Board of Editors said: "Like many other law reviews in the country, we have recognized the need of practitioners in the state for a concise analysis of state Supreme Court cases and legislative enactments. To meet this need we have attempted to present a format that is comprehensive and easy to use." |I believe that over these past 13 volumes the Board of Editors of the Creighton Law Review has been faithful to that commitment. And, while the various players in this endeavor, the bench, the bar, and the law school, might not always agree on the "concise analysis," nevertheless, all should agree that an undertaking such as this serves an extremely worthwhile purpose.
