When the wolf catches the dog at the gate and threatens to eat him, the dog advises the hungry wolf to let the dog fatten up before the wolf eats him. The wolf comes back later, only to find the dog safe on top of the shed. Take what you can get when you can and do not hope for a bigger prize at a later date (23).
