Beyond the skills needed in general reading those skills peculiar to the understanding of history such as interpretation of maps, graphs, and charts, understanding historical vocabulary, and historical reasoning are stressed.|In short, the investigator attempts to determine how the emphasis of specific reading skills Influences achievement in history.
