Abstract
Here is one of some 38 inexpensive Turkish editions of Aesop bought together. This publication is significantly earlier than and different from those apparently responding to an educational mandate to have pupils read fables. This 32-page one-staple pamphlet offers first several fox fables and then several mouse fables with appropriate black-and-white illustrations. Its cover features a colored illustration of the last phase of FS. The stork has plunged its head into an enormous cone.
