Abstract
Here is one of five remarkable little (4 x 5½) eight-page pamphlets I have found celebrating the centennial of the death of Krylov. After some introductory prose, The Eagle and the Mole begins on 4 with the first of five black-and-white illustrations. The illustrations look as though they may have come from an animated film. How remarkable to find something produced in Moscow in 1944! I can find no indication of the visual artist.
