Here are fifty rhymed verse fables, with an AI at the end, I was surprised to find G.M.Z.F.O. on the final page and learned that it refers to "Gouvernement militaire de la zone française d'occupation." In 1947 in Baden-Baden, one had to get French permission to publish a harmless book like this! Perhaps ten of the fables have clever initials, each appropriate to the fable itself. The others have no initials. There is a stain in the lower right corner. I am surprised that I had not found this book previously. Heinrich Berl, editor of the series, writes a "Nachwort." What a lovely find in a lunch-hour encounter with an unexpected street fair of books!
