Abstract
Here is one of some 38 inexpensive Turkish editions of Aesop bought together. This paperback has the same author as three other books already in the collection, including one from the same publisher in 1966. That book represented a different approach, with fewer fables, sections devoted to specific animals, and a different illustrator. The bibliographic page here lists four earlier editions of this version in 1984, 1992, 1995, and 1997. The present copy is listed as the fifth edition. Among the full-page black-and-white illustrations, perhaps "The Dancing Camel" on 121 is the most amusing. The front cover presents a gathering of animals with wolf and lamb dancing at the center! Each new fable starts a new page. There is a T of C at the beginning. 141 pages.
