Abstract
This 35-page pamphlet is, as I suspected, not really fables. From my reading of the first offering, it seems to be more in the area of fantasy and legend in verse with plentiful rhyme. The surprising thing about the booklet is the letter it contains, written in Montreal in 1968 by Ish Yair. It is written to Professor George Bowering of Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Editor of Imago. The letter starts "Almost two years ago I sent you some of my poems for IMAGO, which you rejected." It concludes with this hope: "Here is hoping that you will read it, and perhaps like it." What a fascinating touch of history! I wonder if Prof. Bowering ever took him up and made further contact. 5½ x 8".
