Abstract
Here is another attractive and lively picture book telling two fables for small children, with lively figures and La Fontaine's original text. Wolf and lamb are suitably contrasted to fit their attitudes. Busby pays special attention to characters' eyes. As to GA, Busby begins with the grasshopper in her tidy, rather large kitchen discovering that she is out of food. I have usually pictured the grasshopper rather living out in the open and deprived of shelter. The ant too lives in a little human house. I have to admit that La Fontaine's text says nothing about shelter. The booklet represents a fine way to acquaint a child with these two great stories. 8¼" square.
