Abstract
If business education is to maintain a position of dignity and permanency in the field of secondary education, if it is to perform its essential role in the readjustment period following World War II, and fulfill its promise in American life, its function must be restated, its foundations reexamined—a new set of values must be established. |The streamlined world-of-today prophesies that peace will bring the greatest expansion in industry that America has yet experienced. With this expansion must come elevated standards and unprecedented demands for qualified workers. Hence, "the need for wise planning to meet .... pressing demands faces us now with compelling urgency."
