Abstract
The story is told in traditional fashion, with Hare boasting and Tortoise insisting that "It's not just the fastest who win." Hare stops by a caf├® to have a "large salad with extra lettuce." Then he comes upon a bakery and tells himself "A little dessert never hurt anyone." He has a "large slice of carrot cake with extra icing." In the meantime Tortoise plods along: "I'll keep going. I'll keep my pace. Slow and steady wins the race." Hare thinks that a little nap will do him good ÔÇô and sleeps for hours and hours. A mad scramble by Hare is not enough at the very end. Tortoise winks at readers on the last page. The artist's cartoon style is engaging, and the color printing is well done. 16 pages. 9" wide x 6┬╝" high.
