Abstract
In the Street Law class, law students go out to local middle and
high schools and teach those younger students law basics. A unique
blend of content and methodology, Street Law uses techniques that
promote cooperative learning, critical thinking, and the ability to
participate in a democratic society. The goal is to provide the middle
and high school students with a practical, participatory education
about law, democracy, and human rights.
The Creighton model focuses on community-based topics
of timely and particular interest to the student communities
and fosters a spirit of collaboration between Creighton and the
local communities involved.
