This is a smaller presentation of My Big Book of Favourite Tales by the same publisher in 1983. The plates are exactly the same but reduced proportionally. In fact, these illustrations are sharper. The colorful illustrated endpapers there are not reproduced here. The place of publication has changed from Hungary to Belgium. Of course, my first impression on receiving the book was that I had mistakenly bought another copy of a work I already had. Wrong again! My $.18 went for a new book. What good luck!
