Abstract
INTRODUCTION|The Nebraska Unicameral has enacted, with some modifications and variations, the 1972 Amendments to the Uniform Commercial Code which became effective on July 19, 1980. The Amendments are directed primarily to Article Nine of the UCC. Article Nine of the UCC attempts to provide a "comprehensive scheme for the regulation of security interests in personal property and fixtures." The Amendments provide for important changes in the scheme of secured transactions. This article will discuss the more significant aspects of the Amendments.|Although the Amendments are directed primarily to Article Nine; some modifications were required with respect to certain provisions in Article One, Article Two, and Article Five of the UCC.
