Abstract
Here is an engaging presentation of some 48 fables on 282 pages. Fables have generally five or six pages, with text and image together on the page. 7½" x 7". There is a T of C at the start. The slightly eccentric visual style is clear from the illustration, largely in orange red, on the front cover. It it belongs to TMCM, it does not fit easily with the depictions there! I find almost all the fables surprisingly easy to identify from the picturing. My favorite in the first half of the book is the happy version here of "The Mouse's Marriage" (122-27). The second printing of this book seems to have happened in 2003. I do not find mention of the first printing.
