Abstract
This small pair of volumes (3¼ x 4½) may come from a larger set including other works. As far as I can establish, there are four illustrations per volume. The illustrations are full-page and well done: the frontispiece here has two large birds apparently fighting in the air while a smaller bird runs on the land. The same printer's design highlights the title-page as in Volume I. Further illustrations include TT (159) and The Raven, the Gazelle, the Tortoise, and the Rat (163). I believe that there is a fourth full-page illustration in the book, but I cannot find it! There is an AI at the back. Not in Bodemann, who does have Castel de Courval doing a Florian edition in 1824.
