"Dear Father Markoe: I am delighted that you have accepted my invitation to the Assembly Grounds Program at Hendersonville, North Carolina, for the week of August 24-30, and will speak on Thursday afternoon, August 28, on the subject: ""Race Relations - Omaha, Nebraska"". Would you be kind enough to let me have some background material and a photograph of yourself, preferably a glossy print, which I will have run in our diocesan newspaper, THE NORTH CAROLINA CATHOLIC, along with the program, just prior to the opening of that week. This photograph will be returned after it has served its purpose. As soon as the program has come from the printer, I will send you a copy. When you have made arrangements for travel, will you kindly return the enclosed card to us.
