Abstract
The 1988 printing changes the coloring and sizing of the print on the covers, the pre-title page, and the title-page; it also advertises the series of books, "Contes-Histoires: Série Classiques," to which this volume belongs. As I wrote of the 1980 printing, there are here numerous realistic, playful, better-than-average drawings of animals in courtly human garb. It would be difficult to separate some from the text, since they are so well arranged on the page. The book is organized around specific animals.
