Abstract

Here is a hardbound Hebrew book of 103 pages and, apparently, some 65 stories. From the illustrations I suspect that two of them are identifiably fables. There may well be more. The illustration on 74 looks suspiciously like WC with a lion playing the role of the wolf with a bone in his throat. On 79 we find hares and frogs at the shores of water, and I am betting that the suicidal hares frighten the frogs and so find meaning in life. One blessing of this Hebrew language book is that the page numbers are Arabic! And the verso of the title-page has "Printed in Israel," a date of publication, and an English translation of the title. Thank you!
