This is another little (4.75" x 6") book of eight pages that is very well done. Its best effects include an underwater view of the birds' congregation on 2; the crow's mirror amid his confused mess of feathers on 4; the wild flutter of all sorts of birds when Zeus approaches the jackdaw with the crown on 6; and the attack-in-progress by the other birds on 7. This version starts with Zeus and ends with the jackdaw walking away in despair. This book is another big success by the publisher!
