Abstract
"Édition sur les Textes originaux." This little (4" x 6¾") pair of volumes is one of the few editions of La Fontaine in this collection not to have some illustrations. Printer's designs adorn the beginning of books, but they seem to have nothing to do with the fables of those books. Blue leather with gold imprinting on the covers. FS is the symbol in the middle of the front cover. This pair of volumes is perhaps unusual in keeping the paperback cover of the publication before it arrived at the book-binder.
