FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|In Hanley v. Craven, the Nebraska Supreme Court was faced with a case of first impression concerning the time of vesting of remainder interests under a will when the sole heir at the time of the testator's death received a bequest with a limitation to the heirs of the testator. In Hanley, the testator, John R. House died in 1926. His will provided: I give, devise and bequeath the land described in the foregoing paragraph to my executor in trust, to pay said income therefrom to my said daughter.
