Abstract
A two-page article by Joan Ranzenhofer in this monthly magazine is titled "Eight Centuries of Tile Making at the 'V. and A'" (72-73). A short paragraph towards the end says this: "Salt-glazed stoneware is shown in a pane of 6 tiles, decorated in relief with scenes from Aesop's Fables." This paragraph then refers to the cover photograph of the six tiles. I do not recognize the tiles as part of a series that I have seen. Aesop gets into places I would not have expected!
