FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|In Craig v. Gage County,the Nebraska Supreme Court interpreted the Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act,(hereinafter Tort Claims Act). This action arose as a result of a collision of a bicycle and a county truck. Plaintiff sued Gage County under the Tort Claims Act, and the driver of the truck individually. A verdict of $27,500 was rendered against the County of Gage, and the action against the truck driver was dismissed.|Plaintiff's appeal challenged the constitutionality of the Tort Claims Act which prohibits trial by jury, and dismissal of the claim against the truck driver...
