Abstract
Equal Employment Opportunity is truly an important phase of management of human resources in business and society. In today's society, it is apparent, that as unemployment rates decrease production technology coincidental with the management of human resources, as well as the relationship of business and society, will have to become more sophisticated to ensure continued growth and prosperity. In the decade of the seventies, it will become more and more essential that business in its environment and in its management obtain additional personnel for skilled positions. | Throughout the United States the construction industry is currently being faced with a heavy demand for labor. There exists the increasingly antagonistic attitude of labor toward management and the greater demand by labor for increased salary and benefits. From the business point of view, the construction industry cannot ignore the masses of the minority groups which could help alleviate the labor shortage thus providing a social benefit in the communities in which that business operates and the individual lives. The utilization of a minority group member who is unemployed, as a productive member of American society, will erase his name from state and federal welfare rolls.
