Abstract

This Article will highlight the various factors used by the Supreme Court to determine if the Establishment Clause has been violated in the public school setting. This Article will review the history of mindfulness and its Buddhist meditation practices. This Article will show that mindfulness is merely Buddhist meditation repackaged. Ultimately, this Article will argue that, upon applying Supreme Court precedent, teaching mindfulness in public schools violates the Establishment Clause.
