FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|In 1973 the Nebraska Legislature enacted L.B. 504 which provides for videotape depositions. This article will discuss the basic provisions of that bill. It will outline the procedure required for the taking of videotape depositions and will discuss the uses of them. Also included in the article are appendices containing forms for use by the practitioner in the taking and presentation of depositions by audio-visual means. The intended purpose of those who drafted the statute was to provide a fairly easy procedural method for the taking and presentation of witnesses' depositions by videotape.
