Abstract
This is a later edition by the publisher who originally published Rackham's Aesop in 1913. Our collection has what we believe is that edition, indeed with two different covers. This edition has a different title; yet another cover design, including a black animal design on orange cloth and a bird symbol; no mention of a series; and none of the thirteen colored illustrations by Rackham. Otherwise the book seems identical, including the same number of pages and all of Rackham's black-and-white illustrations. I am unsure how this is a "vermehrte Auflage." The seller estimates a publication date "um 1925." Like all of Rackham's work, this book is full of imagination, wonder, and enjoyment!
