Abstract

From the standpoint of the student who shall one day, I hope, try to make some sense of this case, it is designed to test his ability to extract order from chaos. The solution, if indeed any case may be said to have a solution, is a fairly simple decision as to the highest income potential for invested funds. In order to arrive at this decision, however, the student will have to select from various niches, some obvious and some well camouflaged, various bits of necessary information. He must use, his imagination, (for instance, to lay out, economically, a mobile home court design). He must assume certain facts within the framework of his experience. (What would be the amount of taxes in his locality on realty and personalty). He will ideally follow through the two alternate methods of financing that are suggested. He will attempt to give proper weight to certain unknowns, (the net income from building homes and selling trailers). And finally, he will exercise to the best of his ability that loneliest of all arts, decision-making.
