Abstract
Here is a 2009 third copyright for a book copyrighted earlier in 1976 and 1993. Our collection has a copy with that 1993 copyright. Here now is a first printing in that third round. As I wrote of the earlier copy, this book follows the style of Dharma's earliest Jataka publications. The noble Golden Foot lives with his gentle doe wife as king over many deer living at peace in a great pine forest. When he is caught in a hunter's snare, his wife pleads for him with the hunter, offering herself in his stead. The hunter is so touched with her plea that he lets Golden Foot free. As a reward, Golden Foot gives the hunter three magical jewels and urges him never to take life but rather to help those in need.
