Abstract
This is a highly colorful die-cut pamphlet about 3⅜" x 6", the fifth of a group of seven more Nilsson pamphlets to be added to our singleton acquisition of four years ago. We seem to have four to go to complete the collection! Its two outside covers are images taken in front of and behind the wolf's discovery of the lamb at the water. There are again three two-color illustrations inside this one-staple pamphlet of some 12 pages. The centerfold is another lovely piece of art work. It has the wolf angrily saying that if this lamb was not the culprit, then it was his brother. The first image has the wolf accusing the lamb of troubling his water. The last has him carrying off the crying lamb. This pamphlet again offers a prose expansion of La Fontaine's fable. On the last page, one finds La Fontaine's verse text. Lovely work!
