Abstract

It's unusual for me to be drawn to the Psalm when reflecting on the liturgical readings of the day. Yet today's psalm is one of my favorites. "Sing to the Lord a new song for he has done wondrous deeds." He has indeed done wondrous deeds as Paul states in the beginning of the Letter to the Romans.|He relates the good news of the resurrection of Christ and our call to apostleship. "The Lord has made known His salvation" resounds in this psalm.|In the Old Testament the Lord saves his chosen people and all nations are in awe. From a Christian perspective we know that salvation was fulfilled in Christ.|So I hope to make today a day "I can break into song and sing praise."
