Abstract
An especially readable version of LM for young readers. Its best illustration is on the cover, as the female mouse quivers standing in the footprint of the lion. There are also frequent black-and-white line drawings inside this 12-page pamphlet. Moral: "Be kind. You never know when you will need a friend." There is a last picture to color, although each of the pictures invites the same. There is an open page on which to write or draw "Even if you are small, what can you do to help?" A last page offers pattern words, power words, and vocabulary words.
