FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|Interviewing and counseling skills are critical for effective law practice. The American Bar Association's Client Counseling Competition provides an opportunity for law students to practice, develop, and perfect these skills. Through consultation situations and critiques by practicing lawyers and other professionals trained in counseling, the law student participants learn in a unique and practical manner.
