This book came to us by mistake. Better World used a stock photograph of another version of La Fontaine, and I bit on it. It was too expensive and bothersome to send the book back. Now I have discovered that it has a different year from our other copy of Chartwell's edition of Thornbury and Doré in 1982. The copyright for this 1984 version belongs to Hasso Ebeling. This copy has some water damage at the back. Still, Doré's engravings are always a pleasure. AI at the back.
